Noun[edit]
squat toilet (plural squat toilets)
- A toilet, usually consisting of a hole in the ground and sometimes a tank, which is used while squatting instead of sitting.

- 2014, Piu Marie Eatwell, They Eat Horses, Don't They?: The Truth About the French, Macmillan, →ISBN, page 139:
- The curious thing about squat toilets is that, whereas Anglo-Saxons often refer to them as ‘French toilets’, the French themselves call them ‘Turkish toilets’ (toilettes à la turque or WC turcs). But in Turkey they are known as ‘Greek toilets’, while the Greeks insist they are ‘Bulgarian’.
