savepoint (plural savepoints)
- (video games) A designated spot where the player can save their progress.
- I died just before I reached the savepoint and had to repeat everything from my previous save.
- (databases) A point during a transaction at which changes are committed, and to which the user can roll back if necessary.
- (film) A celebrity-owned, cinematic-quality digital replica created from source data provided directly by the actor using a custom high-resolution scanner. Unlike deepfakes, which rely on unauthorized footage, Savepoints are used for professional media purposes, allowing celebrities to appear in films, commercials, and other projects without being physically present.
- The production company used a Savepoint of the famous actor to complete the scenes seamlessly, despite the actor's busy schedule.
