Affixed pari- +‎ purna, from Javanese ꦥꦫꦶꦥꦸꦂꦤ (paripurna, finished, over; complete, plenary), from Old Javanese paripūrṇa (full, perfect, complete), from Sanskrit परिपूर्ण (paripūrṇa). Compare to Thai บริบูรณ์ (bɔɔ-rí-buun) and Khmer បរិបូរ (bɑɑrebou).
