  1. A yearly bonus of one's salary or social security with a payout that typically occurs shortly before summer.
  2. (Can we verify(+) this sense?) (UK) a basic wage paid to an employee while they are on holiday. It can be paid for as many weeks' holiday as an employee is entitled to, although an employee can spread their complete holiday entitlement over the whole year.
