A borrowing and alteration of Dutch Low Saxon or German Low German Busserun, from French bourgeron.

      There comes the fishermen, one after another, through the small paths in the snow, and today they don't have their sailor suit and work blouse, but rather wadmal cardigans and wide-brimmed hats.
