Etymology[edit]
From (ã)n- + yiu, or from yiedz, from Latin vivō (with a change in conjugation and the Aromanian suffix -edz). Less likely from a Vulgar Latin root *invivō, with a later suffix. Compare Romanian învia, înviez.
