Inconsistency with denotation no. 20 of get

I quote point number 20 of get:

„(transitive, informal) To catch out, trick successfully.“

Example given:

„He keeps calling pretending to be my boss—it gets me every time.“

Here the meaning of catch out seems to be the opposite of what is said in this article.
