Simplified Chinese is still 火伴. e.g. 《漢語大辭典》:

火伴
北魏時，軍中以十人為火，共灶炊食，故稱同火者為火伴。後泛指同伴。
　《樂府詩集‧橫吹曲辭五‧木蘭詩之一》：“出門看火伴，火伴皆驚忙。”
　唐元稹《估客樂》詩：“出門求火伴，入門辭父兄。”
　《水滸傳》第四四回：“西山地面廣闊，可令童威、童猛弟兄帶領十數個火伴那裏開店。”

They are different, and I think each of these simp-trad correspondences should have its own {{zh-forms}}, with {{zh-alt-form}} being used in the definition. Wyang (talk) 00:15, 10 April 2016 (UTC)
