Symbol

[edit]

D2

  1. Deuterium-deuterium, a type of hydrogen (H2) molecule. In other words, dideuterium, or diatomic deuterium.

Usage notes

[edit]

Deuterium should be called by the chemical symbol "2H", not "D".[1] Therefore, the proper notation for diatomic deuterium is "2H2", not "D2".
