Etymology[edit]
Named by Philip Carteret in 1767, presumably honoring the Admiralty, which commanded the British Royal Navy (and therefore him) at the time.

- A group of islands in the Bismarck Archipelago, to the north of New Guinea in the south Pacific Ocean, belonging to Papua New Guinea.
