- (obsolete) A letter of the Unified Northern Alphabet, using during the short-lived Soviet Latinization campaign of the 1930s.
Languages with this letter were Avar, Dargin, Khanty, Lak, Lezgin, Mansi, Nogai, Permyak, Selkup and Tabasaran.

- (obsolete) A letter for /s/ in German-based orthography, abolished in 1921. (⟨S⟩ without a stroke had been used for /z/.)
