Pronunciation[edit]

Proper noun[edit]

流便

  1. (Protestantism) Reuben

Usage notes[edit]

Newer editions of the Chinese Union Version have changed the translation from 流便 (Liúbiàn) to 呂便吕便 (Lǚbiàn) due to the possible vulgar connotation of the former, which could be interpreted literally as (liú, to flow) + 便 (biàn, human waste), i.e. “to have diarrhea”.[1]
