     มาตรา ๕ ให้ยกเลิกความในมาตรา ๑๔๔๑ แห่งประมวลกฎหมายแพ่งและพาณิชย์ และให้ใช้ความต่อไปนี้แทน "มาตรา ๑๔๔๑ ถ้าคู่หมั้นฝ่ายหนึ่งตายก่อนสมรส อีกฝ่ายหนึ่งจะเรียกร้องค่าทดแทนมิได้ ส่วนของหมั้นหรือสินสอดนั้น ไม่ว่าชายหรือหญิงตาย หญิงหรือฝ่ายหญิงไม่ต้องคืนให้แก่ฝ่ายชาย"

     Section 5 The provision of Section 1441 of the Civil and Commercial Code shall be repealed and replaced by the following: "Section 1441 Should one of the engaged persons die prior to the marriage, the other may not claim compensation.
