Causitive stem of the verb ܚܵܙܹܐ (ḥāzē, to see). Not present in Classical Syriac and has replaced the original ܡܲܚܘܹܐ (maḥwē) in many dialects, and necessarily a newer innovation. This verb remains nonexistent in some dialects.

  1. to show (allow or cause to be visible)
    ܐܲܚܙܝܼ ܠܝܼ!aḥzī lī!Show me!
    ܘܵܠܹܐ ܕܡܲܚܙܲܚ ܠܹܗ ܥܵܠܡܵܐ.wālē d-maḥzaḥ lēh ˁālmā.We have to show the world.
