Etymology

Together with Classical Syriac ܐܙܒܪܟܐ (ʾezḇārḵā) probably borrowed from an unidentified Middle Iranian source. The compound զուար-ա-փակ (zuar-a-pʻak) may contain the unsuffixed form *զուար (*zuar).
