Etymology

A pun on мураве́йник (muravéjnik, anthill) and челове́к (čelovék, human being). Possibly popularised with Alexander Zinoviev's 1997 novel Global Humant Hill, aka Global Cheloveynik - «Глоба́льный челове́йник» («Globálʹnyj čelovéjnik»).
