[edit]Borrowed from Ottoman Turkish ناز (naz), itself a borrowing from Persian ناز (nâz, “affectation, cute”).

- (colloquial, often in plural) mincing manner, affectation, airs and graces, coquetry (unnatural, cutesy or put on behaviour)

- Aftí ekeí péra ólo kánei názia gia na vrei ántra.
- That one over there is always playing cute so she can find a man.
- (colloquial, by extension, in the plural) acting up, carrying on (stubborn behaviour in order to get something one desires)
- Η μικρή κάνει νάζια επειδή δεν της αγόρασα το παιχνίδι που ήθελε.
- I mikrí kánei názia epeidí den tis agórasa to paichnídi pou íthele.
- My young girl is acting up because I didn't buy her the toy she wanted.
