Learned borrowing from Ancient Greek Ἠλῠ́σῐον Πεδῐ́ον (Ēlúsion Pedíon) in the plural Ἠλύσια Πεδία (Ēlúsia Pedía). See Ἠλύσιος (Ēlúsios, adjective) & πεδίον n (pedíon).
