Partial calque of Dutch boemeltrein, from boemel (“loitering”) + trein, as kereta api + bumel.

kereta api bumel (first-person possessive kereta api bumelku, second-person possessive kereta api bumelmu, third-person possessive kereta api bumelnya)
- (archaic, rail transport) local: a train that stops at all, or almost all, stations between its origin and destination, including very small ones.
