“thoroughbred”, in The Century Dictionary […], New York, N.Y.: The Century Co., 1911, →OCLC. has a very similar definition. But rules may have changed and may also in the future, which changes seem more suitable for an encyclopedia. I have included 4 pedia links and a OneLook and a Century 1911 link. I wonder whether the breed definition should be at the capitalized spelling. I doubt that anyone has taken the trouble to examine the uses of the lower- and upper-case forms to determine whether the lower case form is more frequent for each definition. DCDuring (talk) 22:07, 11 April 2018 (UTC)

The decision to de-lemmatize the upper-case for was based on a Google N-gram without any reference to reviewing the specific meanings that were capitalized. DCDuring (talk) 22:13, 11 April 2018 (UTC)

Counting up the visible snippets for the Google Books search for "thoroughbred breed" the upper-case form outnumbers the lower-case form 30:7. I think that is sufficient evidence to re-lemmatize Thoroughbred with the specific meaning of the breed, with all the paraphernalia of registration and stud books.
