Changed apheticism to aphetism. I can find no references in Wiktionary or dictionary.com to apheticism but I can see at both Wiktionary and dictionary.com that there is a word aphetism derived from aphesis. 01:16, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

This really is beyond me, but I found this from Oxford English Reference Dictionary:

Etymology 2: prob. f. Du. reven REEF(2)
