Shouldn't this be most significant bit given that a byte is a sequence of bits? --Hekaheka 23:13, 24 February 2010 (UTC)

- Most significant byte does make sense and is a common term. (deprecated template usage) little-endian and (deprecated template usage) big-endian are related to the significance of bytes (not bits). However, the example in our definition is wrong ("the number 34 the 3 in the tens position is more significant than the 4 in the ones position"), because it refers to the most significant bit and not the byte.
