Pronunciation[edit]

I came to this page because I was curious about different pronunciations in different areas. Here in the United States, I know of two pronunciations. The most usual one is something like (pardon if this is a horrible transcription, vowels in English are far too complicated :P) /məʧʊɹ/, but another pronunciation something like /mətu:ɹ/ is also common. My ears personally find the latter to be somewhat forced and deliberate, but I really don't know where it comes from. Perhaps someone more informed can clue me in on this? –Andyluciano 16:13, 23 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

I also came here wondering this. Is it mah-choor or mah-toor? -- OlEnglish 07:34, 8 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thanks to User:Actam for adding the IPA pronounciation. -- OlEnglish 03:12, 14 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
