lean, mean[edit]

I have always been wondering what the expression "lean, mean" is. I couldnt find it in any dictionnary. What does it mean ? Thanks, Nicolas.

It just the use of two adjectives, as in "He is a lean, mean, fighting machine" = He is a lean and a mean fighting machine. Hope this helps. Leasnam 15:38, 3 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

to lean outwards?[edit]

What does this mean exactly? Sounds bizarre to me. Tooironic 01:23, 25 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

It's been changed to "hang outwards". I still don't see how it differs from sense 1. Equinox 17:59, 16 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Backinstadiums: Not as far as I know. The second pronunciation is leant only, in my experience. Equinox 17:58, 16 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Carolina lean, Cali lean, California lean, Tennessee lean[edit]

US slang for a kind of truck modification that raises the front end and lowers the rear. Commonly found online, but not in Google Books. Also called the Carolina squat. Equinox 16:25, 19 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
