foulness

[edit]

Don't we need an entry for the word foulness? We have awfulness. 24.29.228.33 22:40, 14 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, I wasn't sure if it was a real word. 24.29.228.33 22:56, 14 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

admittedly rather belatedly, but IPA pronunciations now added to (deprecated template usage) foulness and (deprecated template usage) Foulness. Thryduulf (talk) 21:38, 28 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Foul/ Vuil/ faul

[edit]

Aren't foul and vuil (the latter is Dutch for 'dirty', 'nasty' etc.) from the same origen? The same with the German 'faul'? Is there someone who can back this up (or blow it into infinity)? --82.217.114.140 21:03, 10 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Foul/ Vuil/ faul/ fule

[edit]

Came across the swedish band "Den Fule" on last fm, and it was said to mean "the ugly (one)". Seeing as I am a dane I cannot say its the same word as foul but it seems reasonable. What puzzles is I cant find a danish term...

Foul

[edit]

What does this mean in bowling? I've only seen it rarely and w:foul doesn't include it. Thecurran 17:29, 6 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

From w:Bowling: "If a player crosses the foul line at the end of the approach, the ball is marked as a foul "F" and is awarded zero points."—msh210 17:32, 6 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Comparative/superlative

[edit]

Surely they are "fouler" and "foulest". I'm not sure how to change that, though, as it's all templated... --Jtle515 12:00, 16 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Just attach them as first and second parameters. I've done it for you. JamesjiaoTC 12:22, 16 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
