Hello. I think there may be some misunderstanding - Félagshyggja is best translated as Socialism, and has nothing to do with poverty or enslavement. As a rule of the thumb, any Icelandic word with the suffix "hyggja" is some kind of "ism", for example frjálshyggja = liberalism, auðhyggja = capitalism, etc. On a few occasions the "ismi" suffix equates to "ism": darwinismi, kommúnismi,... --Smári McCarthy 08:49, 26 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
