Seems to be used mostly for women, as though a woman with authority is unnatural and needs a word like this to describe her. A man would probably just be called strict or heavy-handed. Soap (talk) 18:19, 19 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

I'm not sure I agree with that. "domineering woman" gets barely more hits than "domineering man". 50.195.84.65
