2. caused by readiness to believe[edit]

I am never sure how to best include the meaning "resulting from ...", as in here "...a tendency to believe things too readily" --Backinstadiums (talk) 17:46, 27 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Sense 2: “(obsolete) Believed too readily.”  --Lambiam 15:23, 2 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

This can be easily cited (and the "obsolete" label able to be rejected) by searching for e.g. "credulous stories". I'd be tempted to claim widespread use on this one. This, that and the other (talk) 02:53, 3 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
A very large portion of raw Google Books hits for "credulous story" are for "credulous story-teller(s,ing)" or for "credulous" and "story" being from separate columns on a printed page. It is all too easy to jump to a conclusion based on superficial evidence. Our users deserve better. DCDuring (talk) 20:54, 3 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
...which is why I searched for "credulous stories" specifically. Anyway, cited now. This, that and the other (talk) 01:10, 4 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
