UK slang for bargain, i.e. a good-value purchase?

This was part of the curious slang of the old computer magazine Your Sinclair, but might have had wider usage. Anyone know? Here is an example (context: the video game was released at a low budget price):

  • 1992, Jonny Quest (video game review) in Your Sinclair (issue 75, page 16)
    The graphics are rather marvellous for a barg, with large and smoothly animated sprites plodding around pretty backdrops.
