I see some use of "bank shot" as an idiom for doing something in an indirect way.

this article (http://www.november.org/stayinfo/breaking07/DrivingMad.html) calls an indirect legal argument a "bank shot". i struggle to find more examples, though I've heard it used like this many times in everyday speech. 2603:7000:6400:F165:40E9:D69C:705B:38B 21:45, 20 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
