Translation for "Pareto efficiency"[edit]
The Czech Internet does not know the term Paretova účinnost, which would be a natural translation of "Pareto efficiency". It knows the term "Pareto efektivita", which is a non-Czech-native formation of a collocation, from the name "Pareto", and the foreign word efektivita. The term efektivita is a foreign-word Czech translation of efficiency but also of effectivity, and by the structure, actually more akin to effectivity.
As Wiktionary is a descriptive dictionary, I cannot enter the term Paretova účinnost. However, I recommend the Czechs to use the term. After they do, I can with good conscience enter that term into Wiktionary.
Also, a native translation for "Pareto optimality" is "Paretova optimalita", instead of "Pareto optimalita" found in the Czech Internet.
An alternative to "Paretova" coming to mind is "Paretovská", leading to "Paretovská účinnost". Still, given that we have such terms as Poissonovo rozdělení, and not "Poissonovské rozdělení" or "Poisson rozdělení", the translation "Paretova účinnost" is clearly preferable. Neither have we "Poisson distribuce", corresponding in style to "Pareto efektivita".
However, another term wanting translation is the adjective "Pareto efficient", which can be translated as "Paretovsky účinný"; it cannot be translated as "Paretova účinný" or "Paretově účinný". The term "Pareto-účinný" is unfound; Google finds five hits of "Pareto účinný" though.
