Inherited from Proto-Turkic *mü. Cognate with Chuvash -им (-im), Turkish mi, Uzbek -mi, Bashkir -ме (-me).

   ‎𐰇𐰠𐱅𐰃 (ölti, “he/she/it died”) + ‎𐰢𐰇 (mü) → ‎𐰇𐰠𐱅𐰃:𐰢𐰇 (ölti:mü, “Did he/she/it die?”)

Usage notes

1. Changes form according to the vowel harmony of the word that comes before it.

   ‎𐰉𐰺 (bar, “there is”) + ‎𐰢𐰇 (mü) → ‎𐰉𐰺:𐰍𐰆 (bar:ɣu, “Are there?”)
