이기다 (igida) infinitive 이겨 or 이기어, sequential 이기니
- To win, beat, defeat, gain (war, battle, fight, game, contest, competition)
- 왔다, 보았다, 이겼다. (wassda, boassda, igyeossda.) I came, I saw, I won. (veni, vidi, vici.) (Note: Korean and Latin often do without the subject.)
- To overcome, surmount, suppress (crisis, hardship, temptation, etc.)
- To knead (dough)
