몬치다 • (monchida) (infinitive 몬쳐 or 몬치어, sequential 몬치니)

1. Jeolla dialect and Gyeongsang form of 만지다 (manjida, “to touch”)
   • 1979 May 19, 강성도 [gangseongdo], “아지로 풀은 원수 [ajiro pureun wonsu]”, in 한국구비문학대계 [han'gukgubimunhakdaegye]‎^[1], 경상남도 김해시 삼방동 [gyeongsangnamdo gimhaesi sambangdong]:

     와서 몬쳐 보니께네 아주머니에 들었다 말야.

     Wa-seo moncheo bo-nikkene ajumeoni-e deureot-da mar-ya.

     When he touched it [the pockets of the coat], the lady heard him.
