Egyptian

[edit]

Etymology

[edit]

Perfective passive participle of rḏj (to give) +‎ ꜥnḫ (life), thus ‘given life’. Unlike other such passive participial clauses, this one has been fossilized without any resumptive pronoun (a construction like *ḏj n.f ꜥnḫ would be expected).
