From the masculine imperative of ܦܵܝܹܫ (pāyēš, remain) +‎ ܫܲܝܢܵܐ (šaynā, safety), literally remain in safety; compare Arabic مَعَ ٱلسَّلَامَةِ (maʕa s-salāmati).
