   • 19th ce., Geyveli Hüseyin b. Muhammed, Kevserü’l-hayât ve Mücellâi’r-Rumât:

     كیم بش اوقده نشانی اوررسه اوڭدول آنك اولسن

     kim beş okda nişānı urursa öñdül anıñ olsun

     Whoever shoots the target with 5 arrows in a row takes the prize

2. (figuratively) advantage
   • 1512, Lamiî Çelebi, Ferhad ile Şirin:

     بولوب میدانی خالی آلدی اوڭدول

     Bulup meydānı ḫālī aldı öñdül

     He took advantage of the absence of his rivals (lit. “he found the square empty and took prize”)
