From Medieval Latin objectīvus. Compare Russian объекти́вный (obʺjektívnyj), Belarusian аб'екты́ўны (abʺjektýŭny), Polish obiektywny. Morphologically analyzable as об'єкти́в (obʺjektýv, objective) +‎ -ний (-nyj, adjective-forming suffix).
