Inherited from Byzantine Greek ἀκατάδεκτος (akatádektos) with [kt] > [xt]. Morphologically, α- (a-) + verb καταδέχομαι (katadéchomai, condescend) as: α- (a-, privative) +‎ κατα- (kata-) +‎ δεκτός (dektós, accepted) > δεχτός (dechtós) from verb δέχομαι (déchomai, accept, receive). Doublet of ακατάδεκτος (akatádektos).
